Domaine Sylvain Bzikot / Bzikot Père et Fils
Sylvain Bzikot’s grandfather was a Polish emigrant who arrived in Puligny just before the second world war with nothing but the clothes on his back. From those very humble beginnings this family domaine has managed to acquire an impressive 4 hectares of some of the most valuable agricultural land in the world, namely in and around Puligny-Montrachet and various Puligny-Montrachet 1ers Crus. They also own a further 9 hectares of regional appellations producing bottlings such as Bourgogne Blanc, Aligoté and Côte d’Or Rouge. These are amazingly good value wines and you’d be hard pressed to find many other wines from the area at these prices today.
