About the 2022 vintage
The 2022 vintage in the Côte de Beaune was defined by an early, warm growing season and notably low natural yields, yet without the hydric stress that marked more extreme hot years. At Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet, meticulous canopy management and early picking preserved acidity and tension, resulting in wines of concentration without heaviness.

The whites show hallmark Ramonet clarity: ripe but restrained citrus and orchard fruit, layered with saline minerality and a quietly powerful mid-palate, shaped by long, patient élevage rather than overt oak signature.

Crucially, 2022 also stands out for the quality of the reds at the domaine. Pinot Noir benefited from small, healthy berries and excellent phenolic ripeness, producing wines with supple tannins, vivid red fruit and a freshness that keeps them firmly in balance.

Across both white and red, 2022 combines generosity with precision, offering wines that are immediately compelling yet structured for graceful ageing, very much in keeping with Ramonet’s classical, unforced style.
